Senior Mechanical/Chemical Engineer

Education
BS/MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of five years of experience in the design, analysis and testing of complex mechanical and thermal systems. In addition, the successful candidate shall be capable of demonstrating the following:

  • Experience in the design, analysis and testing of thermal systems – heat exchangers, reactors etc.
  • Experience in the design and execution of transport systems for compressible and incompressible fluids
  • Project management and proven team leadership, especially on complex development projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self starting, motivated team player, with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Desired Qualifications
Candidates who possess the following experience and abilities are preferred:

  • Instrumentation and controls, including experience with LabView.
  • Strong background in material science, especially high-temperature alloys and ceramics
  • Experience with combustion and burner design
  • Fundamental working knowledge of catalysts and catalysis
  • Experience in manufacturing and volume production
  • Familiarity and experience with the design of micro-channel devices and construction methods
  • Familiarity and experience with design and modeling tools. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated experience with these software tools: SolidWorks, AspenPlus, MatLab, MathCad, FemLab.
  • Established network of vendors and suppliers for fabrication etc.

Responsibilities
The primary objective of this position is to bring InnovaTek’s fuel processing technology from R&D, through alpha and beta testing into successful commercialization, including volume manufacturing. The candidate will play a key role within a multi-disciplinary team in the development and commercialization process of this technology.
